Dry spinal traction
It is used to relieve pain syndrome with various degenerative-dystrophic disorders of the spine.
- segmental (paravertebral) mechanical massage;
- cervical, thoracic, lumbar, axial extension;
- traction-impulse action on the spine with vertebrogenic diseases;
- elimination of fibrotic changes in the spinal-motor segment;
- local vibration correction of the spine.
- hernias and protrusions of the spine,
- Bekhterev's disease,
- deforming spondylosis.
During the dry stretching procedure, the patient lays down on a special table, the body is fixed with belts that pull the trunk in opposite directions, the legs are slightly elevated, two rollers run along the spinal column, exerting some pressure. For each patient, the massage table is adjusted individually, taking into account its growth and concomitant diseases. During the stretching session, the spine is unloaded, as the distance between the vertebrae increases. Owing to this procedure the muscles relax, the pressure inside the inter-vertebral disc decreases, which makes it possible to remove the jamming of the nerve root, for example, in cases of radiculitis.
After the traction procedure, the spine assumes a physiologically correct position; the vertebrae cease to squeeze the inter-vertebral discs.
The procedure lasts 20-30 minutes. The course consists of 8-10 procedures. The effect of the procedure will become noticeable only after 3-4 sessions; the patient gradually gets rid of the pain, the motor activity returns, and most importantly - the exacerbation of the spine diseases can be postponed for a long time.
